Description
Our client, a boutique asset manager, is looking to hire a long only Equity Analyst. This role will involve generating and researching potential investment ideas. As part of a small team, you will be working closely with a group of experienced fund managers and actively involved in the investment decision making.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify investment opportunity through detailed company, sector and market analysis
- Construct financial models and financial analysis
- Develop and maintain investment idea generation screens
- Arrange and attend company meetings
- Assist in portfolio trading activities
Candidate Profile:
- Degree from a top tier university (no degree subject constraints)
- 2-5 years’ equity research experience on the buy-side
- Genuine interest and passion for investing
- Preferably working towards CFA
- A strong intellectual curiosity in how businesses operate
- Strong numerical and analytical problem solving skills
- Confidence and skills to present own views and opinions
