Trade Operations Associate

Description

Our client is a top tier investment management house based in the heart of London. Due to continued company success, they are now looking for a Trade Operations Associate to join their high-performing team on a permanent basis.

The Trade Operations Associate will serve as a crucial member of a team which spans Client Service, Operations and Projects, and will take responsibility for the following duties:

• Project management around developing and implementing client transition strategies – ‘business partnering’ with other departments such as Client Service Managers, Portfolio Managers and Trading in order to do this
• Formulating project plans for new account closures and openings
• Managing all aspects of client transition events including new mandate fundings, terminations, all asset-in-kind flows and product or portfolio changes
• Working closely with Relationship Managers and Fund Managers to ensure the asset transfers process is operationally efficient and benefits the client
• Account record set-up for new accounts and portfolios, as well as on-going maintenance of existing account records
• Being the global subject matter expert for account record set-ups and operational procedures
• Coordinating external transition management trade execution asset lists for new or existing accounts

The Trade Operations Associate must meet the following skillset:

• 3-6 years’ experience within the investment management industry within a client operations or trade operations role
• Broad knowledge of the investment management process
• Proven experience being involved in projects (large or small projects)
• Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) with a classification of 2.1 or above
• Strong communication skills as this role requires the ability to provide an excellent client service, as well as being an effective stakeholder manager
