Description

Our client, a global asset management firm, is seeking to hire in the Emerging Markets Fixed Income team.

In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the EM Fixed Income Portfolio Managers with research and the day-to-day management of portfolios.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on emerging markets, focusing on local currency and monitoring economic risk factors
  • Perform macro analysis to identify and analyse economic trends before they become mainstream, with a specific focus on inflection points in stressed and distressed market conditions
  • Produce research reports and present investment thesis to Portfolio Managers
  • Develop and maintain data models to support investment process
  • Analyse large datasets and present research findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships with team members across multiple locations.
  • Contribute to the overall Global EM Fixed Income strategy

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Relevant work experience in EM research or analysis, ideally on the buy-side
  • Strong understanding of EM sovereign risk across both hard and local currency
  • Strong quantitative skills and experience working with complex data sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade
  • Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive and proactive attitude
