Global Equity Analyst

Description

A global Asset Management firm is seeking an Equity Analyst to join their highly regarded global research team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an entrepreneurial environment, with a flat management structure which allows analysts to command a lot of responsibility.

Key responsibilities:

• Work independently to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of assigned sectors, and the companies within them, on an operational and financial level including their competitive position and how they operate within that industry
• Make sound investment recommendations to Portfolio Managers
• Build complex financial models to performance analysis on financial performance, returns on capital and valuation
• Lead meetings with company management, including ESG engagement and site visits
• Analyse “big data” and how it offers insight into company operating performance, as well as meeting with competitors and customers
• Providing research reports for the rest of the investment teams and providing relevant insights on recent events or results

Ideal Profile:

• Relevant experience as an equity analyst on the buy-side or sell-side
• Proven ability to identify investment ideas and communicate convictions
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Studying towards or have completed CFA
• Self-starter, entrepreneurial with a clear passion for investing
