Description
Our client is a global asset management firm with an excellent reputation in the institutional market. They are looking to recruit a Product Strategist in a new role based in their London office.
Reporting directly to the Director of Product Strategy, the Product Strategist will take responsibility for the following duties:
- Determine the positioning and target market for the company’s investment strategies.
- Identify, establish and develop a set of goals and actions (e.g. develop materials, product training, new vehicles, change in positioning, etc.)
- Oversee the ongoing execution and enhancement of the communication strategy in partnership with the investment and client groups
- Contribute to the development of content (e.g. white papers, market research, pitch book, fact-sheets, etc.)
- Collaborate with the investment and client teams to develop and deliver regular product trainings.
- Monitor, evaluate and improve the businesses range of investment vehicles (Private funds, UCITS, CITs etc).
- Observe the business’ competitive positioning in terms of objectives, performance, fees and vehicles.
The Product Strategist will meet the following skillset:
- Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or similar as well as Masters and/or CFA qualification is desired
- 10 + years’ experience in a relevant role, 3+ years’ experience within asset management
- Advanced knowledge of global institutional investors and global investment vehicles (UCITS, mutual funds, commingled funds)
- Advanced analytical/conceptual problem-solving skills with ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative approaches and develop actionable recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience with project management, presentation development and delivery.
- Demonstrate high intellectual capacity and curiosity.
- Have a strong work ethic, self-starter and a quick-study mentality, ability to work independently and also lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
